Safeguarding

Safeguarding

‘We are intent upon establishing a healthier culture and safer churches in Chester Diocese and most of all, upon being more Christ-like in how we respond to victims and survivors and to those who are vulnerable. Safeguarding really is at the heart of what it means to be church and at the heart of our mission.’

The churches of Marbury, Tushingham and Whitewell wholeheartedly agree with the statement above and we are working together to improve every area of safeguarding among our parishes.
Our intention is to develop our understanding in this area that we may become the church we need to be in this age, conscious of the needs of many and a place of safety and trust.

We appreciate we have some work to do, and in remembering past mistakes the Church of England has made we will not forget them but learn from them.

We work hard to maintain a safe environment for all.
We are committed to implementing the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policies and good
practice guidance.
If you have any concerns or enquiries regarding safeguarding, please contact our
